Reporter Profile:

Professor Hou Yandong, a professor and master's supervisor, focuses on the reinforcement mechanisms of permafrost subgrades under the dual scenarios of global warming and engineering disturbances, the local non-equilibrium moist-heat coupling effect, and the water-thermal-mechanical coupling mechanism of new composite subgrade structures, as well as research on tunnel/foundation pit/subgrade engineering under complex geological conditions. He has led over ten national and provincial/ministerial-level projects. Professor Hou has published more than twenty papers in top-tier/Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Zone 1 journals such as Renewable Energy, Applied Thermal Engineering, and Advances in Climate Change Research. He is also a member of the Gansu Province Civil Engineering Society and the Education Committee of the China Society of Cryospheric Sciences. He has been awarded the "Light of the West" Western Young Scholar by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Hongliu Outstanding Youth Award by Lanzhou University of Technology.
